March 22 & 25: Sansom Cares: Refugee Awareness Film Series
Blue Room (across from Michael Murray Lounge), SPE basement

Since October 1, 1991, refugees from over thirty countries have resettled in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, representing diverse ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. True to its name, the City of Brotherly Love is home to numerous organizations that help refugees resettle and start a new life in the United States. If you are interested in learning about opportunities and ways to help those in need, join us for a presentation on refugee resettlement volunteer opportunities in Philadelphia! This will be followed by a screening of two different films on two separate days: Hotel Rwanda the first night (March 22 at 7 PM) and The Kite Runner on the second night (March 25 at 6 PM). Cost: FREE! Light refreshments will be served. Questions? Ask Adriana <adric@law.upenn.edu>
